What’s better than healthy and beautiful skin? Hmmm. Cake? Paleo Cake!?
Yes, Paleo cake exists (and it’s amazing), but that’s not what this post is about.
This post is about how the Paleo Diet can help you get the healthy, glowing skin you want.
1. The Health Of Your Gut Health Is Reflected In Your Skin
The Paleo Diet includes a lot of healthy fats, whic_sponsible for making your skin, hair, and nails healthy. Paleo-friendly foods such as meats, avocados, eggs, and fish include the healthy fats you need for better skin.
Additionally, the gastro-intestinal system and skin are closely related. The health of your gut is reflected in the health of your skin. So, if you’re eating a highly-processed diet, not only will your gut have difficult time breaking down those foods, but your skin will suffer as well.
2. Collagen Protein For Better Skin
Collagen protein is used by the skin. Eating more of it will help reduce wrinkles and tighten and firm your skin. We recommend checking out this collagen protein to add as a supplement to your diet.
3. Inflammation From Sugars
Added sugars are not part of the Paleo Diet and for good reason. Added sugars cause inflammation and they give bad bacterias even cancers an environment to thrive. If you want to reduce inflammation in your body and your skin especially it’s important to cut out any added sugars from processed foods and sugary drinks.
Sugars from fruits and vegetables are ok to eat. Don’t overdo it and keep them balanced in your diet so you don’t get too much fructose (fruit sugar).
